Dreamin of a Black and White Christmas Here in Fountain Valley

You may have seen the reviews.  Yelp OC is Dreaming of a Black & White Christmas Open Party was a great party.  Once again that unassuming Clark Kent of a warehouse at Access Group Media turns into a Superman of a party right here in Fountain Valley.

The next Orange County holiday party from Yelp is a $1 Party. Yes, I know.  This $1 Party sounds like it’s too good to be true, but I have it on very good authority (i.e. the yelp website) that it is the real deal!  This is right in the heart of Orange County. You have FREE admission.  You have $1 beers and fancier drinks for $3-$5.  You also have a $1 gift exchange where the bringer of the most creative gift gets rewarded! Cheap fun doesn’t have to be dirty! Let’s hear it for yelp for helping us celebrate the holidays! Now you have something else to do with all those $1 bills.

Joy to the World

Joy to the World

This year we have some sad news.  The holiday tradition of the Crystal Cathedral‘s ‘Glory of Christmas’ is a no-show.

I have gone once and thought it was a spectacular show.  It was heartwarming and uplifting.  Unfortunately, unless the Crystal Cathedral gets its financial situation cleared up, we may never experience it again.  ‘The Glory of Easter’ was also canceled this year. We will have to see what is in store for 2011 for the biggest church in Garden Grove.

So, in its place we have the Christmas Eve Candlelight Services.  It has been called by many “the most beautiful, meaningful, warm, and welcoming Christmas Eve services in the world!”  See thousands of twinkling lights and gently falling ‘snow’ in the night sky beneath the 120-foot glass ceiling.

Join Dr. Robert H. Schuller and others in sharing his special message, ‘Joy to the World!’ Come out to the 6 Christmas Eve Candlelight Services on December 24th throughout the day. All seats are free, with plenty of free parking available.
