Sunny San Diego and missing Fountain Valley

Sorry folks!  I have been away from blogging keyboard for a while. I have had the good fortune of being transferred down to San Diego for my work.  It’s (mostly) sunny down here.  However I miss all the good times with good friends in Fountain Valley, CA.  That also means I have consequently been distanced from good ol’ Fountain Valley and its events o’plenty.

Fortunately for you all, my peeps keep me in the loop and here are the deets to this weekend’s events in the OC!

1. Taste of Holy Spirit Fall Festival in Fountain Valley is taking place this weekend at 17270 Ward St., Fountain Valley, CA, 92708.  Go visit the wonderful folks from FYC at the “Fun Foods” booth. Get your fill of Dippin’ Dots and cotton candy. Let them know if they did a good job with the cotton candy. (It’s harder than it looks.  Trust me!  I’ve tried making it last year!) I will post more on this later!

2. There will be a FREE Cholesterol Screening for Seniors at The Center at Founders Village Senior and Community Center at 17967 Bushard St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708. Come out or bring your folks for a free Seniors screening on September 14, 2012 from 9-12.

3. Silky Sullivan’s will have Echo Love Chamber playing on September 14th and 15th. Be sure to catch the weekend’s football games here too!  Chargers vs Titans, Go Chargers!

Thanks, fvblogger. We are doing everything we can to make this year’s Taste of Holy Spirit the best ever! Don’t forget, in the KidZone! there will be a petting zoo and pony rides. The Best Dressed Pooch Contest will be judged by an illustrious group: Norbertine priest Father Damien, FV councilmember Michael Vo, and …. Miss Fountain Valley!

Thanks for mentioning the Taste of Holy Spirit in your blog!

    See you around!
