Sniffle Season Again in the City of Fountain Valley

Well, my fellow citizens of Fountain Valley, I have good news and bad news.  You want to hear the bad news? OK, Just as we celebrating your kids going back to school and thereby regaining our independence, we are hit by a hit by a little side effect of public education, communicable diseases.  Great!  So much for your much needed rest. You’re up all night trying to take care of Junior. God bless your child but why does he have to get sick!?

He didn’t have to, my friend.  In fact, if you would have just taken your family to the clinic to get a flu shot, your rest would be uninterrupted right now.   In fact, if you want to avoid getting sick because of “that coworker” that keeps on coming to work when he’s sick, well…follow the same advice.  No, I’m not a germ-a-phobe, I just despise germs that’s all. Get your flu shot! Prevent this plague from spreading!

“Where do we find this miracle drug?” you ask.  Well the good news is that this year the flu vaccine is much more plentiful and it will work for the H1N1 virus.  All you have to do is go to the Walgreens at the corner of Brookhurst and Edinger in Fountain Valley and all your problems will be solved. Yes, you can go to any other pharmacy that may have it.

To learn more about preventing this dreadful disease, you can find out more!  Coincidentally, Dr. David Kim is giving a talk on flu prevention right here in Fountain Valley.  The event is conveniently being held at the Orange Coast Memorial Hospital at Talbert and Brookhurst. Registration is required! Here are the DEETS*: The class will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 201, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 at the Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center. Go to Conference Room A at 9920 Talbert Avenue, Fountain Valley, CA 92708

Wait! there’s more!  There are FREE flu vaccines for seniors at the Bristol Medical Group in Fountain Valley on Friday, October 29, 2010 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  Go to the Community Room at the office on 11420 Warner Ave., Fountain Valley, CA 92708. And no, you can’t beat free.

*DEETS once again for you old fogies is details.
